Upon entering into the a cappella scene in 2016, Avery quickly became one of the most awarded arrangers in competitive a cappella, amassing a record eight Varsity Vocals Outstanding Arrangement awards in five years (including at the 2019 AcaOpen Finals.) Still an arranger at heart, their journey in the genre has led them to expand into work in coaching, live a cappella mixing, & most notably recorded a cappella (with 14 nominations at the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards)!
